New species, Bushtit. After hummingbirds, the Sierra’s smallest bird. Usually found in flocks and they build hanging nests. This one is a female; note the white eye. Photographed in nearly the same location as the Yellow-breasted Chat (see previous post).

NEW SPECIES yet again, 2023 is looking good. Townsend’s Solitaire, along with Yellow-rumped Warbler, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Acorn Woodpecker.
